The Pantanal is one of the best places in the world to spot wildlife because already have been identified about 242 species of fishes, 650 species of birds, 110 different mammals and 50 species of reptiles. Because of its features the Pantanal is prefect to make nature trips, birdwatching, safaris and other activities on the nature.
The São João Farm is located on the Pantanal Park Road, Km 30 – southern Mato Grosso. The farm is prepared to receive guests from Brazil and Foreigners that are looking for fun, nature trips, adventure tours and spot wildlife.

Tour Package Program
1º Day: Campo Grande / Pantanal
Assistance at the airport or bus station of Campo Grande and transfer by public bus to Buraco das Piranhas (police station where the bus stop). The Camping’s car will be waiting for you at Buraco das Piranhas. The local transfer to the Camping is done in open car and you already have the opportunity to spot some wildlife on the Pantanal Park Road. Arrival at Camping and check-in. Rest of the day free. Its nice walk around of the Camping to look for the blue macaws and tucans. After dinner night walk to spot the caimans and nocturnal birds. It tour takes about 1 – 2 hours. Overnight in hammocks at the Camping. (D)
2º Day: Pantanal
After Breakfast Nature Trekking - on this activity you will spend about 2 – 3 hours walking through diverse habitats such as grasslands and higher areas with dense wood vegetation whrere the animals and birds stay during the wet season. When the Pantanal is flooded you walk in wet places and if you want, you can across bays what makes your tour unforgettable.
After lunch Piranha Fishing - on this activity you will spend about 2 – 3 hours and you have the opportunity to get very close of the feared piranhas of the Pantanal. It tour is done in lakes, bays and rivers using simple fishing rods and to get to the fishing points you go by foot spotting birds and caimans. Overnight in hammocks at the Camping. (B, L, D)
3º Day: Pantanal
Before the breakfast Sunrise Walk - it tours takes about 1 hour and you'll see how beautiful is the sunrise in the Pantanal. You have great chances to see back howler monkey. Back to the farm and breakfast.
After breakfast Horseback Ride - it tour is on typical pantaneiro horses (from Pantanal) and takes about 2 – 3 hours tour through diverse habitats such as grasslands and higher areas with dense wood vegetation where you may see marsh deer, feral pigs, blue macaws, tucans and many other bird species.
This is a very nice tour because you can see some animals, gallop for the Pantanal filds on the very well trained horses. Overnight in hammocks at Camping. (B, L, D).
4º Day: Pantanal / Campo Grande
After breakfast check-out and Transfer Safari by jeep 4x4 to Passo do Lontra Parque Hotel. At this place you'll go to a Canoe Tour trough the Mirada River. First of all you take a engine boat and up the river stream for about 1h20min. After that you get the canoe and dawn the river stream for about 2 hours until get in the Lodge. This tour is really nice because you can see and hear the nature’s song. Swing in the river is also a good idea. When you are in the canoes the boat gets around just for security.
After lunch transfer from Passo do Lontra Parque Hotel to Buraco das Piranhas, where you take the Public bus Campo Grande or Corumbá or Bonito. (B, L)
