BONITO
Bonito is one of the most complete and fascinating natural areas of aquatic leisure in the world. Bonito is a piece of paradise and is located on the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Central West region of Brazil. It is number one destination for ecotourism in Brazil. Few places in the world have kept nature so pure and generous like in Bonito.
There are hundreds of waterfalls, crystalline water lakes and rivers, more than 80 caves - flooded droughts and grottos, rocky walls, infinity of fish and other wild animals. The best of everything is that the access to all this exuberances is far of being complicated.
The nature of the region is inhabited by wild birds and emus, monkeys and giant anteaters, beyond rich flora. Today the tourism is the main activity of the city and the majority of the attractions are in particular properties.
The climate in the summer is humid and the winter is dry (typical of tropical savannahs). From August to October, rains little and the waters are still more crystalline. Rains are more frequent from November to March (and the waterfalls are well full).
The main activity is certainly diving into great lakes of fresh and crystal clear waters, where a great variety of fishes calmly swim among visitors, in a dazzling display of color and movement. Snorkeling, scuba diving, light rafting, abseiling, horseback riding, caving, mountain biking and trekking are just some of the fun things to do in these places.
