South America has an area of 17,840,000 square kilometers (6,890,000 sq mi), or almost 3.5% of the Earth's surface. As of 2005, its population was estimated at more than 371,000,000. South America ranks fourth in area (after Asia, Africa, and North America) and fifth in population (after Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America). It’s made up of the countries of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela.

 

The Eco Adventures Travel has very good contacts with Bolivian and Peruvian travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, hostels and transport’s companies. In 2006 we travel to Bolivia and Peru to visit some tour operators that we already have partnership (we organize their tours in Pantanal and Bonito - Brazil) and to make new partnerships.

 

We spent 25 days (Bolivia – Peru) and visited the most important tourism destinations. In Bolivia we visited: Copacabana, Coroico, La Paz, Oruro, Uyuni (salars - salt flat), Potosí, Sucre, Santa Cruz, Puerto Suárez and Puerto Quijarro. In Peru we visited: Lima, Ica, Nasca, Arequipa, Cusco, Machu Picchu, Juliaca end Puno.
