São João Farm
The Pantanal is one of the best places in the world to spot wildlife because already have been identified about 242 species of fishes, 650 species of birds, 110 different mammals and 50 species of reptiles. Because of its features the Pantanal is prefect to make nature trips, birdwatching, photografic safari and other activities on the nature.
SÃO JOÃO FARM (Pantanal Park Road – Corumbá)
São João Farm is located in the sub region of Abobral, 25 kilometers from Passo do Lontra, alongside Pantanal Park Road. Covering roughly 2,000 hectares, it features small and large lakes, ponds, savannas, and dense forests full of fruit trees. It is a privileged region with high flood intensity and a large variety of fauna and flora species of the Abobral and Nhecolândia regions, in the Pantanal of Mato Grosso do Sul.
On the São João Farm there are electric generator (is possible recharge battery), pipeline water, collective bathroom, Lunchroom / bar and 02 options of accommodation: ecological camp (hammocks) and mult shared dormitory. How they are very worried with the nature preservation we made all constructions with recyclable materials, the water from the bathroom goes to an aseptic tank and trash is separated and recyclable.
There are 02 Redários (places where are the hammocks) 01 with total capacity of 40 people and other with total capacity of 16 people. Both places are protected against mosquitoes. There are 02 dormitorys (protected against mosquitoes) with capacity of 08 people in each.
The best way to see the farm and the rich wildlife is to do the tours offered. On the São João Ranch is a possible makes ecological hike, night walk and sunrise walk, safari on the Park Road, piranha fishing and horseback ride. Also is possible visit the Passo do Lontra Parque Hotel and make boat / canoe tour. In it tours you may spot capybaras, marsh deer, hyacinth macaws, anteaters, coatis, and even jaguars – the largest feline in the Pantanal.

Tour Package São João Farm- 03 days / 02 nights
1º Day: Campo Grande – Pantanal
Assistance at the airport or bus station of Campo Grande and transfer by public bus or private car to Buraco das Piranhas (police station where begin the Pantanal Park Road). The Camping's car will be waiting for you at Buraco das Piranhas. The local transfer to São João Farm is done in open car and you already have the opportunity to spot some wildlife on the Pantanal Park Road. Arrival at São João Farm and check-in. During your stay the following tours will be scheduled at the camping: nature walk, night walk, sunrise walk, horseback ride, piranha fishing, canoeing tour, biking tour, safari on the Pantanal Park Road, depending the weather conditions. Overnight at São João Farm. (D)
2º Day: Tour Pantanal
The trips mentioned above are scheduled at the Camping. The trips will be carefully selected, depending the climate and time of the year and will be guided by local guides speaking English. The local guides know all about the flora and fauna that make this place unique. To avoid the intense heat during the day, the tours will be done early in the morning and mid-afternoon, at these times of the day, is a lot bigger the possibilities of seeing the movement of the animals. 3º Day: Pantanal – Buraco das Piranhas
After breakfast another tour in the morning. Lunch and transfer by Public Bus or Private Car to Campo Grande.
