The Pantanal is one of the best places in the world to spot wildlife because already have been identified about 242 species of fishes, 650 species of birds, 110 different mammals and 50 species of reptiles. Because of its features the Pantanal is prefect to make nature trips, birdwatching, safaris and other activities on the nature.
Bonito is one of the most complete and fascinating natural areas of aquatic leisure in the world and it is the destination number one for ecotourism in Brazil. At Bonito there are hundreds of waterfalls, crystalline water lakes and rivers, more than 80 caves - flooded droughts and grottos, rocky walls, infinity of fish and other wild animals. Few places in the world have kept nature so pure and generous like in Bonito.
Tour Pantanal and Bonito - 06 nights / 07 days
Tour Package Program
1º Day: Campo Grande x Pantanal
Assistance at the airport or bus station of Campo Grande and transfer (4 – 5 hours) by public bus to Buraco das Piranhas (police station where the bus stop). The Pousada’s car will be waiting for you at Buraco das Piranhas. The local transfer to the Pousada is done in jeep 4x4 and you already have the opportunity to spot some wildlife on the Pantanal Park Road. Arrival in the Pousada and check in. Rest of the day free, its nice go for a walk around of the Pousada, get to the camping and spot the Abobral River. Overnight at Pousada Santa Clara (D)
2º Day: Pantanal
After breakfast Boat Trip - on this activity you will spend about 2 – 3 hours riding on motor boats equipped with life jacket and comfortable swivel seats. The boat trip is done in the Abobral River where you have chance to see the local flora end fauna. It tour is recommended for people of all ages. Lunch on the Pousada and rest. In the afternoon you will go to a Photografic Safari - It tour happens on the Pantanal Park Road where you ride for about 1h30min looking for the animals. The jeep 4x4 makes a stop and you go for a Nature Trekking - on this activity you will spend about 1h30min walking through diverse habitats such as grasslands and higher areas with dense wood vegetation that serve as refuge to animals and birds during the wet season. The walk finishes at the jeep. In the way back to the Pousada you will do a Night Tour using a big light to look for the nocturnal animals. You have chance to spot marsh deers, toucans, capybaras, armadillo and other animal species. Overnight at Pousada Santa Clara (B, L, D).
3º Day: Pantanal
After breakfast Horseback Ride on typical pantaneiro (from Pantanal) horses. It is a 2 – 3 hours tour through diverse habitats such as grasslands and higher areas with dense wood vegetation that serve as refuge to animals and birds during the wet season. You may see marsh deer, feral pigs, blue macaws, toucans and many other bird species. After lunch you will go to Piranha Fishing - on this activity you will spend about 2 – 3 hours and you have the opportunity to get very close of the feared piranhas of the Pantanal. It tour is done in lakes, bays and rivers using simple fishing rods. Overnight at Pousada Santa Clara (B, L, D).
4º Day: Pantanal x Bonito
After Breakfast Nature Trekking - on this activity you will spend about 2 hours walking through diverse habitats such as grasslands and higher areas with dense wood vegetation that serve as refuge to animals and birds during the wet season. In the morning you have time to pack you staff. After lunch, transfer to Buraco das Piranhas where you’ll take the public bus to Bonito (4 – 5 hours). Arrival in Bonito, check-in at the Pousada Muito Bonito. Overnight in private room.
5º Day: Bonito
After breakfast, visit to the Gruta do Lago Azul (Blue Cave). The trail will start with a 5 minutes walk to the cave, then, after descending a trail of 350 meters, you will see the lake with the famous crystal clear water. The depth of approximately 120 meters and in the morning when the sunbeams hit the lake, the water will have an intense blue color. Half day tour.
Visit to the tour Parque das Cachoeiras (Water Falls Park). On this tour you walk through ecological trail in the gallery forest from Formoso River, observing the enchantments of local fauna and flora. During the course you may swim and see how beautiful is the nature with its waterfall formed by calcareous rocks and small caves, there are 6 points to swing. There is lunch on the head farm included in the tour. Half day tour. Overnight in your Pousada (B,L).
6º Day: Bonito
After breakfast, visit to the Rio da Prata (silver river). On the first part of the trip you walk approximately 2 km through the interpretative trail in the gallery forest at the river banks of the Da Prata river where you'll see the harmony of the nature birds and local animals like: currasow, toco toucan, capuchin monkey, agouti and peccary. In the end of the trail you arrive on the Olho d'agua spring, where begins your snorkeling tour. The river has a very transparent water, rich aquatic fauna and flora. During the floating tour you'll get very near of the fish like gold fish, cat fish, piranputanga,... If you have luck you can see others and caimans. After the tour you'll have a delicious typical lunch served in the head farm, there are toilets, dress rooms, souvenirs shops. The equipment as: wet suit, rubber shoes, mask and snorkel are included in the tour. Full day tour. Overnight in your Pousada. (B.L)
7º Day: Bonito x Campo Grande
Check-out until 11:00am. Transfer by public bus to Campo Grande (4 – 5 hours).
