PRESENTATION

Are you looking for a personalized and private trip to Pantanal to spot wildlife? Our 4 days Pantanal Adventures Tour is perfecte for you! Much more than wildlife, a nature experience.

Day 1

This is a program that happens between the time of receding water and dry season in the Pantanal, because it is a period with higher chances of wildlife watching. Normally this period runs from late June to early December, but there can be changes depending on the water level and the rainy season in the Pantanal. At the flooded season (mid-December to early June) there is no way to set up camp on the river, since there are no dry areas for this.

This Pantanal Adventures Tour is aimed at people who seek to have a differentiated and personalized experience in the Pantanal, the program goes far beyond what the touristic farms offer in their traditional programs. Groups are a maximum of 06 people, but ideally are group between 02-04 people. It must be clear that in this tour may be lots of mosquito (especially at sunrise / sunset), it may rain, be very hot or even cold at dawn and in the 03 first days there is no bathroom and shower, that baths will be made in River. Anyway, this is a program for those who really love nature, want to have a unique experience and know the Pantanal in a more intense way and how it really is!

This Pantanal tours start in Campo Grande – Transfer to Pantanal
Assistance at the airport / bus station in Campo Grande and transfer to the Pantanal. In this program there are 02 transfer’s options: regular transfer in local bus or touristic van until the Buraco das Piranhas, where begins the Pantanal Park Road or private car directly to the Passo do Lontra Village. In the case of regular transfer our opened Jeep will be waiting for you in the Buraco das Piranhas and it will bring you to the Passo do Lontra.

The 03 first days will be allocated to exploration of the Miranda River (one of the most important South Pantanal Rivers) and its surroundings. The adventure starts on the village of Passo do Lontra and will be made in boat of aluminum equipped with engine and chairs for more comfort, since most of the tour will be in the boat.

On this first day is estimated to navigate around one hour and a half to the vicinity of the Red River where the camp will be mounted. Each person will be responsible for helping with the organization of the camp, whether it is time to set up the tents, whether it is collecting firewood, or even preparing the dinner. Dinner, prose around the campfire and overnight in tent.

Day 2

Expedition Pantanal Exploring the Miranda River
Normally in this program the days begin early at dawn, taking birds as an alarm clock. Shortly after the breakfast you go for a Nature Trekking – on this activity you will spend about 1 – 2 hours walking through diverse habitats such as grasslands and higher areas with dense wood vegetation that serve as refuge to animals and birds. On the walking tour the guide will show and explain you about the plants and trees (medical use, use in construction and serving as food for humans and animals) and as well look for animals that often inhabit the region, such as the black howler monkey, deer, capybara, armadillo, raccoon and lots of birds. The walk lasts from 1 to 2 hours, everything depends on how are the environment conditions and the level of the water in the river.

After the walking, the camp will be dismantled and the journey continues with destination to Miranda River, where the camp for the second night will be mounted. On the way it will be a stop to climb the Morro do Azeite (Olive Hill), one of the only hills in the area, from where you can have a more comprehensive view of the Pantanal and sinuous Miranda river. The climb walk takes around 30-40 minutes and the panoramic view is worth the small sacrifice of the climb. After the visit to the Olive Hill the boat ride has continued to the point where it will be made a stop for lunch and a short rest, because at midday the heat is intense and is hardly spot animals. The arrival on the campsite location scheduled for the middle of the afternoon, where it will set up camp again. Boat trip to explore the Miranda river.

Depending on how will be the environmental conditions of the Pantanal (if it has enough water in the rivers or not) you can leave the main river and enter the “corixos” that are small watercourses ranging from main river for the open field. Often there is little water in this corixos and there are many birds around. The returning to the camp will be dark and is used a powerful flashlight connected to a battery (night boat tour) to assist in locating the animals, alligators and nocturnal birds spotlight. Dinner and overnight in tent.
